To a young lady with red hair, waiting for her drink across from me by the door in a Starbucks:

I'm not checking you out- I am not wearing my glasses
so can't tell if you're someone I should wave to.
You're not.

So, in fact you are checking her out. Just for a different reason than she thinks.

In that regard- I guess I do check out a lot of folks.
Cyndi thinks I am too forward with people. She is surprised by how many people I know and talk to outside of our "in group"- I guess the surprise is people acknowledge knowing me. She's also a little disturbed by my willingness to talk with total strangers.
She says people in general, and women specifically, probably don't want me to talk to them in public. I say too bad- if you're behind or before me in line at the supermarket, we're gonna talk about how good blood oranges are or how un-firelike Dentyne Fire really is. That's right- I'm that guy. I can't wait 'til I'm 73.

It's being friendly and outgoing.

Shy people are afraid of that.

I think it an engaging quality and I'm always happy to chat with random strangers, feeling I've found an oasis of community in the midst of the desert of isolation.

But, I'm one of those people who would never initiate such conversations. So such as we need people such as you.

And I'm an INFP. Imagine if I was the "E."

Then again, the Meyers-Briggs is just a "scientific" horoscope. God only knows what I really am.

You know, Jesus was an INFP too.
